UNIVERSITY AVENUE RAMP

McNamara Alumni Center is connected by tunnel to University Avenue Ramp for those joining us for the main event only.

Since we’re celebrating on a holiday, the alumni center will be open only for our event, so if you park in the University Avenue Ramp and come to the hotel for a bit after brunch, you’ll have to walk outside to get back to your vehicle. Park in the Washington Avenue Ramp to ensure warmth.

The 8’2” University Avenue Ramp entrance is on University Avenue.

From the north, heading south on I-35W

  • Take Exit #18, 4th Street-University Avenue exit

  • Cross 4th Street and turn left (east) on University Avenue

  • Stay in the right lane, drive nine blocks to the University Avenue Parking Ramp — located on the right (south) side of the street

From the south, heading north on I-35W

  • Take Exit #18, 4th Street-University Avenue exit

  • Turn right (east) on University Avenue

  • Stay in the right lane, drive nine blocks to the University Avenue Parking Ramp — located on the right (south) side of the street

From the east or west on I-94

  • Take Exit #235B, University of Minnesota/Huron Boulevard

  • Follow Huron Boulevard north for one block and turn left (west) onto Fulton Street (first stop light)

  • Drive three blocks west on Fulton Street and turn right (north) onto Oak Street

  • Follow Oak Street north past the McNamara Alumni Center (on the left) and cross over University Avenue

  • Oak Street will curve to the left (west) and becomes 4th Street

  • Turn left (south) at the first available street: 18th Avenue, 17th Avenue, or 16th Avenue

  • Drive one block south and turn left (east) onto University Avenue

  • Immediately get into the right lane and turn right into the University Avenue Parking Ramp — located on the right (south) side of the street

University Avenue Ramp is connected by tunnel to McNamara Alumni Center, so you can get from your vehicle to the celebration without stepping outside!

Once inside the parking ramp, take the East elevator to tunnel Level B. McNamara Alumni Center is the copper building adjacent to the ramp. Follow the signs to Laura & Dan’s celebration!
